I purchased a pair of ladies ankle boots and they arrived within 2 working days. They are very light weight and comfortable and I was excited to wear them to work. It was a rainy day so I wore my new boots. While walking to work I could feel my socks getting damp. When I got to work I had a look and my socks were wet. I was so disappointed as they are so comfortable and for the price I thought they would be rainproof too. I will keep them but I won't be able to wear on a rainy day.

I've always thought of Reiker as a quality brand but after my latest experience not too sure now.

The shoes I ordered were not as nice as pictured on the site, and in one pair the insole was actually loose in the box, showing underneath the shoe had very bad stitching that was looped and badly fraying.

The returns process was both complicated and very slow and I was expected to pay for the returns even though one of the pairs of shoes was faulty.

Also I was charged £5 for P&P when it clearly stated free postage. This was not refunded even though I asked. I will not use this company again.

I used a spray to protect the soft leather of my trainers, but was very disappointed to discover that even though I sprayed the shoes twice, I ruined them the first time of wearing! A drop of liquid stained one of them. On the second wearing they picked up a dirty scuff that I couldn’t remove! I would have been better off buying a cheap pair of plastic trainers! They are comfortable to wear but after two days they look scruffy and I am not happy to wear them to go out in! Very disappointing for shoes which cost £65. I would not recommend them!!!

The boots are warm and comfortable. However when you spend £75 on a pair of winter boots, you expect them to last all winter. I work in a high school, not an overly physical job, and the top layer of material has worn off near the toe. After only wearing them for 5 working days! This is rubbish, I've had better wear from shoes that cost nowhere near that price. Not worth it at all.

I bought some boots from Rieker about 2 years ago. The boots I chose looked sturdy but unfortunately these boots have been a disappointment from the start.
Very uncomfortable, especially where the back of the eyelets where the lace threads through. I attached a small piece of leather to the inside of each boot, as shown in the picture, which made it slightly better, but not perfect.
They also let in water which ended in wet socks each time it rained. Eventually out of exasperation I bought some leather glue and glued all around each boot where the stitching was. I had to repeat this process twice to make them waterproof. Further pictures are attached to show this. I have now thrown them and bought a new, very comfortable, pair. I contacted customer services but they didn't want to know.
Will buy British in future

Bought pair Rieker boots from local shop and as seen on other reviews wet feet on first damp day of wearing. Acknowledge not claim to be waterproof but expect not to have soaked feet in normal use. Shop claimed Reiker have not had any similar complaints and were only willing to offer a Credit Note against another Rieker product. As clearly not fit for purpose expected refund or at least credit note to cover other items within the store. So, buyer beware!

I purchased an 80Euro shoe when I arrived in Slovenia last November and wore it several times, it was really comfortable shoe. Just few weeks passed I noticed shoe is peeling off, a part of the under sole was also removed.. I told Rieker's customer service RR28348 about my concern and they do not respond with clear answers. STAY AWAY from RIEKER and do not buy.. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Very comfortable

Must be the first shoes I've ever put on and felt like I've worn them all year. They are very comfortable and wide fitting. Perfect for me and I can see me always buying their shoes from now on. Dave, aged 52.

I left a review of a pair of boots on their website - although the boots were warm and comfortable, one of them leaked badly in the rain. So I rated them as 2 star, but my review has since disappeared from their website. Definitely unreasonable behaviout in my opinion, there are better ways of dealing with poor reviews than censoring them.
